It’s my duty and pride tonight to be able to announce exactly what the Republicans plan to do for health care in America… It’s a very simple plan. Here it is. The Republican health care plan for America: “don’t get sick.” If you have insurance don’t get sick, if you don’t have insurance, don’t get sick; if you’re sick, don’t get sick. Just don’t get sick. … If you do get sick America, the Republican health care plan is this: “die quickly.” - Rep. Alan Grayson.

The quote above was deliverd by Rep. Grayson, a Democrat from Florida from the floor of the US House of Representatives. The "We can dish it out but we can't take it" Republican Party is outraged! Grayson is not backing down.

Here is video of the speech:

Unfortunately as a partisan Democrat he can't mention that a good amount of conservative Democrats feel the same way as Republicans. But that aside he makes a great point. Getting sick, even with insurance is financially ruinous to hard working American families and the Republicans offer little except  meaningless tax cuts and deregulation for the private insurance bandits.

Now as they do, the Republicans are up in arms over Rep. Grayson's remarks, and they are going around on Fox News and the like, crying and whining about civility. Fortunately, in 2009 we have the Internet (specifically YouTube), which makes it easy to expose them for the hypocrites they are.

The blog ThinkProgress has the takedown:

Republicans are outraged at his hyperbole — so outraged that Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) has called on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to officially rebuke Grayson. Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) initially said that he was going to introduce a resolution reprimanding Grayson, but recently took to the floor to instead request that he “apologize to our leader.”

The GOP outrage is empty. After all, neither Price nor McHenry called on their fellow Republican colleagues to apologize after making absurdly false comments about Democratic plans in the past few months on the House floor

Video compilation by ThinkProgress:

Today Rep. Grayson responded to the right-wing outrage chorus with an Apology (of sorts):

When Republicans (and conservative Democrats) are outraged... you know you are doing something right. Memo to Reid and Pelosi: More of this please.

FYI -- this is not an endorsement of the Democratic Health Care plan. That effort is total garbage. Eventually we'll force the Democratic (or in bizzaro world the Republican) party platform on Healthcare to be Medicare For All. To get it passed they'll need to do a MUCH better job campaigning for it than they are doing for The Insurance Profit Protection Act of 2009.
